outh Dakota based songwriter and worship leader, Naomi Dappen began writing songs from spontaneous moments during prayer and worship nights.
A pastor’s kid and the 13th of 14 children, Naomi grew up immersed in worship and prayer.
A wife and mother of 3, she wrote songs at the piano while her toddlers played. It was during this season a passion to tell stories through song developed. Later, she worked for a church as a worship leader until she transitioned to be the Worship Director of a young adult ministry (tre Ministries) based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. There, she leads worship nights and trains young adults to lead worship. Her heart’s cry is to lead people to the feet of Jesus and be part of the restoration of His bride. She aims to write songs that tell stories and are a source of healing.
Outside of Jesus and her family, she loves traveling, pretending to be Joanna Gaines, eating Indian food, and whooping her kids at MarioKart.

y 4 song EP the hallway is out now. These songs are not perfect. I pushed back a little with my producer about the vocals. "Maybe I need to re-do this one?" They felt too raw, too exposed. But, the whole idea of this EP was to be simple, unpolished. I want you to feel like you're sitting in my living room with me listening to my upright piano. That's where they were birthed. As an artist, I want to create out of real. I want to make things I find beautiful. I want to bring meaning. So, maybe these songs aren't trendy. Maybe my voice gets a little flat. But every word was fought for, and every melody was from my heart.
