outh Dakota based songwriter and worship leader, Naomi Dappen began writing songs from spontaneous moments during prayer and worship nights.
A pastor’s kid and the 13th of 14 children, Naomi grew up immersed in worship and prayer.
A wife and mother of 3, she wrote songs at the piano while her toddlers played. It was during this season a passion to tell stories through song developed. Later, she worked for a church as a worship leader until she transitioned to be the Worship Director of a young adult ministry (tre Ministries) based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. There, she leads worship nights and trains young adults to lead worship. Her heart’s cry is to lead people to the feet of Jesus and be part of the restoration of His bride. She aims to write songs that tell stories and are a source of healing.
Outside of Jesus and her family, she loves traveling, pretending to be Joanna Gaines, eating Indian food, and whooping her kids at MarioKart.
If you're looking for an easy way to support current and future projects, my incredible friend created some great merch.
025 started off with a couple of recording projects. I recorded a few songs during a live worship set at the Franklin Prayer House alongside Hailey Hibbard and Ryan Hall. I'm impatient to get those songs out! Some of which have been led at worship gatherings for years, and it's finally time! I have another project due to release this year- a 4 song piano EP. More on that later!
For now, I want to reiterate how much I appreciate everyone's support this past year. It's not always easy to balance being a mom, working in ministry, being in grad school, and releasing music, but it's def. made easier knowing I have amazing support.
Thank you for supporting my music!
